'Sharing Venice' and more

Sharing Venice is a community outreach whose mission is serving the at-risk and homeless members of the Venice Beach community. It does this by way of monthly provision of food (donated in partnership with local restaurants), along with clothes, toiletries and other necessities donated by Venice and Santa Monica residents. As part of our initiative, we have negotiated special discounted rates with local restaurants such as Teddys Red Tacos, Gjusta and Abbot Pizza. These restaurants that have created a "Sharing Venice" menu option that enables those wishing to support the initiative to place orders directly with the restaurant for our team of volunteers to distribute on the day of the outreach. This enables people to help in a concrete, identifiable and accountable way, while both helping those in need and supporting local businesses.

Sharing Venice exists to support the at-risk community, but it also provides a way of giving back for those that have been the benefit of similar support over the years.
